In most cases, you can’t control the temperature of each water stream independently. In most cases you can install your new dual shower head yourself. You can unscrew your current one with a wrench and remove it. THen, put several layers of teflon tape on the threads in order to make sure that your new showerhead does not leak. Then, attach the new one by hand. Try to tighten it by hand as much as possible. You can use a wrench if necessary, but is it carefully in order to avoiding scratching or otherwise damaging it. Even if you are renting the place that you live in, it should not be a problem to swap out the old head but don’t forget to replace it before you move out!
